Announcement of New Products!

I am glad to let you know I am introducing a new line of products. These products are offered for a reasonable price. I have been listening, and feel during some difficult times most people are having to stretch every dollar they spend. These new products are available as pins, pendants, or key chains. They are custom made with your initials and you choose the woods that you would like to see it made from and which product you would like and in the USA it will be mailed the next business day for individual orders. The choices of wood at this time are walnut, mahogany,maple, oak and cherry. I recommend choosing a light color wood and a darker for nice contrast.  Pictures show a few different combinations. These items will be offered on the website for sale for $6.00 and this includes shipping within the US. Orders may be placed starting February 18, 2013 after 12:00 p.m. eastern time.

Handcrafted Deer Scene Clock

This clock is handmade using Cherry hardwood with a polyurethane finish. Great scene with a Doe and fawn pictured at the edge of the woods. This piece was cut out using a scroll saw. Great piece to add to your home office area, den, or your favorite spot in your family room.  It makes a great gift for any occasion. Whats New At Backyard Wood Designs?

A new website has been created. It is updated and new items are added on a regular basis. I would like to take a moment to invite you to take a look.
This site allows you to purchase items that I make and offer for sale at different craft fairs I attend during the year. There are several options available to order items custom made with your own preferences based on a different kind of wood that you might prefer or even an item just a little different than what you see. Horse Clock finished

I finished another item I wanted to share with you all. This item is a horse clock made from walnut and mahogany. Has a 17/16" clock insert. I will be making these clocks in many different styles and can be ordered with custom options of your own choice of wood combinations. What ever you would like. This makes them much more personal for gifts or something for yourself. I will share the new styles as I complete them. This horse clock measures 51/2" x 53/4" and is made using 1/2" thick hardwoods.

I have been working very hard to keep up with all of the things going on this time of year.

Recently working on christmas ornaments and decorations. This time of year tends to make me feel like one of Santa's elves. I would like to share with you the results of my website that is finally finished.

I am going to share some pictures of some decorative cross ornaments because I think they always look nice and making them from different hardwoods they always give me a different feeling. I have been finishing most of my items made from hardwood with a danish oil unless otherwise requested and I find it gives each item a richer and nicer finish.
